Evidence rule: a data center appearing on the map is geographic and development-status context. It is not, by itself, proof that the facility caused a nearby groundwater decline. Facility water claims, permit records, monitoring data, and independent measurements must remain clearly separated.

How to read this: megawatts measure instantaneous power, not annual energy. A renewable-energy contract or proposed onsite power plant is not automatically the facility’s electrical demand. Those supporting-supply figures are hatched and labeled separately. “Not disclosed” is unknown—not zero. Project Matador’s 17,000-MW campus vision, for example, is distinct from its currently reported 222-MW TensorWave lease.
